Marjorie Julien

I'm Marjorie, based in Brisbane, and I teach at Inna Essence Studio.

My journey to becoming an instructor has been a real transformation, marked by both humility and empowerment. I've loved gymnastics since I was just 3 years old, and I pursued it for a solid decade, which helped me improve coordination and acrobatic skills.

After an elbow injury and two surgeries, I shifted to trampoline training and was even invited to join a top-level team. I proudly made it to the French National Team, where I earned national titles, a silver medal in the World Championship age group in synchronised gymnastics, and a remarkable 5th place in the individual category.

In 2008, I began a new adventure at Cirque Du Soleil and became skilled in trampo wall. Later, an ankle injury led me to discover Pilates, which not only aided in my recovery but also made me realise its potential to help others. This realisation inspired me to become a Pilates instructor.

In 2011, I started my Stott Pilates mat training in the USA, and by 2012, I started teaching Pilates mat classes while continuing my pilates education. Upon moving to Australia in 2015, I devoted myself to full-time Pilates instruction and expanded my skills by training in Barre.

In 2019, I embarked on an incredible and life-changing journey by becoming a yoga teacher in Bali. In 2021, with the wonderful journey of pregnancy, I decided to explore prenatal and postnatal yoga using the renowned French method. It proved invaluable during my pregnancy and postpartum experience.

Being an instructor is a continuous journey of learning and self-discovery. It’s an opportunity to meet incredible individuals and empower them to enhance their physical and mental well-being, guiding them on a path of recovery from pain and injury. This journey is a humble yet powerful mission that I’m deeply passionate about.
